What’s the average carbon footprint of a person?

In Chile, the average footprint is  4.69 metric tons, in my calculate of my footprint I got 6.34 tons of CO2e, with this result I notice the number is most than the average, this  means that in my family made up for four persons we spend more than the rest.

 Hand washing dishes can use up to 50% more of water than using an efficient dishwasher.

Only about 10% of global energy comes from renewables.

True or false? Appliances that are turned off don’t use any electricity.

False, because many appliances like the clocks or the remote control sensors despite being switched off, they continue to function internally and this is a energy consumption in the same way

Can you make paper out of hemp?

Yes, because the hemps is the more humane and clean option, this material requires less land acrege to grow than timber, has fewer chemical byproducts, and car be recycled more frequently than tree timbe

Part 3:

1.- When you recycle for example a box, you will must crush the box beacuse to this form you take up less space and others can use the remaining space for more materials recycles.

2.- Before recyle the plastic bottles you will must wash the residues and if you can, you will must crush the bottles because often are very bulky.

3.- When you go to shopping carry your own bag, and to this way you can help to reduce the use of plastic materials every time you need to buy something.

Antoni Gaudí

Hi Everyone! In this post I will like to talk about a famous architect that I admire and say them a short biography of his life.

Antoni Gaudí i Cornet was born in Spain in June 25th 1852 and he died run over in the year 1926. In 1870 he travelled to Barcelona to start his architecture career and in the year 1878 he finished his studies in the School of Architecture.

He was an architect of modernism and in many projects he worked with the neogotic and nature art, his original and single architecture language was very admired. Some of his prominent projects were The Sacred Family, Batlló House, Parque Guell and many others.

I admire him and his architecture because I think he had a brillant mind, I love his original and creative ideas, I love the colours, details, forms, curves of his projects. I really will like travell to Spain to see this wonderful works of this amazing architect.

Favorite subject

Hi everyone! Today in this post I will like to talk about my favorite subject in this semester of the university, Culture of architecture and inhabit.

In this class I have learned about the history of many years ago, i learned about different periods of time and how they changed with the pass of the time. I learned about the Hellenistic period, about the Egyptians, Greeks and the last class consisted in the romans period.

I like this class because the teacher, Ronald Harris, make this funny, he says different jokes contributing to the contents of the class and I like the form to he explains the different legends and mythos that exist in all these periods. 

Also, I like because I have learned about the temples, shrines and about different mythological gods, about the types of columns that existed and how cities were organized at that time.

Finally, for these reasons this is my favorite subject this semester and I will like to know, what is your favorite subject and why?

My Photography

Hi, today in the day of the blog I will like to talk about a photo I took in a few weeks ago.

I captured this photo a Sunday, one day after I had to took off the four wisdom tooths. That day I felt very bad because it hurt so much and I had very sad because I hadnt done anything for Monday´s homeworks, I couldnt think with the pain in my mouth.

This same day my uncle and my aunt invited us to his new apartment, he made a barbecue to celebrate and I couldn't eat anything! I only could eat baby food.

The day was being very bad to me but suddenly the sky began to turn pink, purple and orange colours, it was very beutiful and this moment brought a lot of calm and happiness to my day. In this moment my family and I started to take differents group family pictures with the sky background and it was a funny and cuddly moment with them, this photo remember me that moment and is for this reason i like it very much.

Environment and my career

Hello, today in my new post I will talk about the environment and the architecture

I think the weather conditions affect the architecture in a positive and negative form

The architecture can use the different types to materials from the nature and they can bring us a lot in all the constructions designs and estructures. But also the constructions are very negative for the change climate because contaminate and for get more efective materials like wood they cut many trees, this affect too much all the people and also to the climate because the trees provide oxygen to live in confortable form.

With the pass of the years these changes in the climate have a greater impact in the society, in the quality's lives, our environments and dwellings which are also affected by this.

When a new proyect start is very important consider the environment and the clime in the plan of the proyect because are many aspects like temperature, rains, clouds, wetness, solar radiation and many others that influence how the construction will work according to the location in which it is located.

In the future I would like to help people and the world, I want to create buildings that help us prevent deterioration, create spaces and buildings with recycled materials and get a better quality of life and the world.

My favourite piece of technology

My mobile phone

Hi again!, In this post I would talk about why the mobile phone is my favourite piece of technology.

Last year when I started the university my parents gave me the phone I have now because my old phone was not working well, it turned off for no reason and it was very slow. I´´m very happy for this gift, I use this every day, every moment, sometimes I think I have a obssesion with it but then I see a lot of people who use it as much as me.

I like this phone very much because I can do a lot of things with it, I can take pictures and I love take photos to remember diferents moments of my life, I can search on internet all the things I want, I can listen music, I can chat with my friends and family, I can see pictures or videos of my old friends or old classmates and know about theirs lives, I use very much red socials like Instagram or Whatsapp and I like very much this apps.

I don´t know what I would do without my phone, but I think is for the time I was born, and is just thing of habit.
I will like to know what do they do in  their phones in their free times? See you the next post!

Why I choosed my career?

In my new post I will told you the reason about why I choosed architecture career, i hope you read this.

When I was child i loved the idea of studying to be a doctor, I played I cured my family and friends. When I grew up I notice that I wasn't good with biology, I did't like this because was a lot of memory , for this reason I changed my opinion. In my last year of school I didnt know what studying in the future, i was very confused because I didnt know what career choose, i only know I liked maths, for this reason I thinked study engineering but it didnt convice me because i think this is boring. One day I was searching careers when I found architechture and I was research it, the career liked me because includes a lot of areas and not only one, this includes a little of maths, history and they evaluate the creativity and not only with a writter test.

Actually I am in second year of architecture and I think is a lovely but difficult career, in the first year I learned a lot but was very difficult organize my time, i had to explote my brain to create new proyects and i like this but I thinks ocasionally is very complicated. 

I dont know yet what i would like to my future or what work i want, i think i will discover this one day, i feel happy live day at day.
